Hustles:
Journalism, Creative Writing, Moviemaking, Graphic Design, Beats & Rhymes.
Credentials: Khalid Strickland is the founder and leader of multi-media organization The Supreme Arsenal. Strickland interviews interesting and notable people such as Method Man, Tyrese, Luc Besson, Styles P, Amanda Diva, Grandmaster Flash, 9th Wonder and the entire New York Knicks ’07 team. The
man also known as the Dirty Angel contributes to widely-distributed and
prestigious newspapers such as The NY Amsterdam News and Caribbean Life. He
also contributes stories and interviews to online publications such as
Insomniac Magazine, The Smoking Section, The Black World Today and
Grind Mode. The Supreme Arsenal franchise is continuing to expand.
Additional Stats: Strickland wrote, directed and edited the acclaimed, straight-to-DVD independent movie “Thug Opus”. Strickland also scored the feature-length film as well. With
the help of his inner circle and helpful associates, the resilient
Dirty Angel was able to complete the flick guerilla-style and spread it
throughout the streets (and internet). “Thug Opus” DVDs have sold steadily since its release in the summer of 2007.
As Kilo Ki the Dirty Angel,
Strickland has recorded numerous songs, music videos and underground
albums, including the “BK to JP” mix CD which was distributed in Japan
and Amsterdam. Kilo Ki’s hard-earned fan base (or
“Coalition of the Willing” as he calls them) is growing at an alarming
rate as his gritty, hardcore works of ghetto-centric art infest the
streets of the globe.
Strickland
also uses his natural talents as an illustrator and graphic artist to
design album covers, logos, flyers and business cards for various
clienteles. He also does DVD authoring. Feel free to contact him for your creative needs.
